EVP Tuned 2020 Maverick X3 Turbo RR WINS the Inaugural SCORE Baja 400 in PRO Stock UTV class and was the 3rd quickest UTV overall.
The Can-Am / Monster Energy / Papas & Beer #3936 driven by Rodrigo Ampudia WINS the Baja 400 using our Stage 3, 215HP 91 octane tune finished the race in 10:23.30, just 23 minutes behind the fully built PRO UTV FI class winner and ahead of almost half of the Trophy Truck Spec class. Rodrigo ran the complete 400-mile race using pump 91 octane fuel. He pushed the Can-Am to the limits and completed the race without any issues, aside from a minor rollover and running out of fuel once. This is the same off-the-shelf tune we are releasing this week for the 2020 X3 Turbo RR.Rodrigo decided to race the Baja 400 in his new 2020 Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo RR just 2 weeks prior to the event. The required safety components and last-minute preparations were still being completed the night before the race. The EVP Stage 3 ECU flash was performed while rolling through contingency by our good friend Lindsay Geiser from Jeffries Performance. To say this was a last-minute effort is an understatement. Rodrigo is no stranger to off-road racing and has competed in many Baja Races in Trophy Truck and Class 8, as well as short course in Pro 2. To take a factory Can-Am with some safety enhancements and combine it with some exhaust upgrades / software tuning, add a great driver / team and have it compete on this level is nothing short of amazing! Our commitment to providing the best tunes for this platform is evident in our unrivaled dedication to real world testing & desert racing in these harsh conditions.
