THE PARAGON TURBO FAMILY
Most aftermarket turbochargers are designed for large-displacement, lower-revving automotive engines. Powersports engines are exactly the opposite; they’re small-displacement, higher-revving platforms that require a different balance of exhaust A/R and wheel geometries than a typical automotive turbocharger, which usually has a larger bearing section (CHRA). A larger CHRA has more inertia and, therefore, more turbo lag.
All EVP Paragon turbochargers start as a compact, low-inertia ceramic ball bearing CHRA. The exhaust A/R, compressor and turbine geometry have been optimized for small displacement engines. Rather than a “one size fits all approach,” we built a family of turbochargers specific to the desired power level of each kit. Every Paragon compressor is matched to an appropriately sized turbine. In other words, our 50mm compressor has a different turbine than our 43 and 46mm. Matching the compressor to the turbine maintains the delicate balance between flow and responsiveness to deliver mind-blowing performance with instant spooling. Just one of the many exclusive features that separate Paragon Turbochargers from anything available in the side-by-side market today.
SETTING STANDARDS
The rotating assemblies are VSR balanced at over 100,000 rpms,
which provides stability and durability at high boost. The exhaust housings are ceramic coated to maintain exhaust velocity and keep radiant heat in check. Each compressor wheel is color anodized for good looks, durability, and easy identification.
Every internally wastegated turbocharger has a Turbosmart wastegate actuator with an easily adjustable turnbuckle for quick adjustments.
The compressor housings are powder coated, which maintains its appearance no matter what you put your SXS through. In addition, the 43, 46 and 50mm compressors have a ported anti-surge billet inlet.
Besides the production turbochargers, we also have race versions available that have dominated the Sand Outlaws
series and drag races everywhere. These specialty turbos can be customized with different exhaust housings, external wastegate
and long-tube header packages.
Lastly, every Paragon turbocharger is serialized and carries an industry exclusive 1-year warranty (excludes custom race turbochargers).
