Team EVP came into Round 2 of the Sand Outlaw Series strong, winning in every class that we entered!
MOD Class:
The EVP “Desert Storm” Maverick X3 continues to be on kill mode and ran the entire Winchester Bay race undefeated. This was quite an accomplishment given the relentless competition from Packard, K&T and others. In addition the Desert Storm car ran nearly the same 300’ times and MPH as the top Outlaw cars given the additional 175 lbs the mod class cars have to weigh and the 50mm inlet restrictor single turbo limitation. Our car ran a time of 4.085 sec @ 85.65 mph
DUNER Class:
Brandon Ristau's Maverick X3, running an EVP Desert Storm 420X engine turbo system with a class legal turbocharger won the Duner class against some of the best drivers and fastest vehicles out there. This EVP-powered X3 is running a 100% stock ECU and competing on the highest level against all other cars running standalone engine management. The EVP 2-Step Launch Control and custom STM clutching packages got his car out of the hole better than any of the other cars in the class. This is a true DUNER class car and features all of our off-the-shelf components available to our consumers.
STOCK Class:
This vehicle features our 100% off-the-shelf 2021 RR X85 ECU calibration and EVP’s Shift-Tek clutching. This is a showroom stock vehicle that was undefeated in this class and undefeated in the series. This goes to show that EVP “Horses” are Thoroughbreds and just like Thoroughbreds, EVP horses get our customers to the finish line first.
