EVP Racers Finish 1-4 At UTV Worlds Short Course Race

The 2019 UTV World Championship short course race was a tremendously successful race for Evolution Powersports and its tuned / sponsored vehicles. EVP vehicles land 1st – 4th place with 6 out of the top 10 finishers all EVP sponsored vehicles.  In an intense battle for the final victory of the weekend, Cody Miller came out on top by just four seconds over Kyle Chaney. Cody Miller:  “I knew the attrition was going to be bad out here, and I tried to gauge the other drivers and get a feel where I was at,” Miller said after securing the top spot.  “I started off the race with a little bit of a conservative attitude, and by the end I was really laying the wood to it. But it held together, and I’m here on top of the podium! Kyle Chaney: “I pulled the hole shot in my Evolution Powersports  tuned can-am X3 and lead most of the first lap. I did not get to see the track before racing it so I was being cautious and RJ got around me. I followed him for a lap until he had an issue and I was able to grab the lead. After lap 3 I lost 4wd but was still keeping a consistent pace. With about 3 laps to go I got an intake leak which caused my car to lose power. I still had the lead coming into last lap and by the finish Cody Miller had made up the time adjustment and got me by 4 seconds. It was a great weekend for Can-Am and I’m looking forward to this event next year!” Rounding out the top 3 was Jake Carver in his EVP sponsored Polaris XPT. “Decided to race this pig in the short course race this morning at utvwc and pulled a 3rd place finish. Pretty pumped to enter a heavy desert car against purpose built short course cars and run up front!”  Jakes decision to run his desert car last minute proved to be a good one. Elliot Watson took 4th place in his EVP tuned Can am X3 Kory Willis from PPEI took 6th place in his EVP tuned Can am X3 David Behrens from S3 Powersports took 8th place in his EVP tuned Can am X3 In the UTV 900 Class, EVP racer BrookLynn Deman landed herself on the podium in 3rd position.  Her Evolution Powersports powered Maverick X3 900 HO got her to the finish line but it was a rough race for her and her team. "We were going for a while running good and then went into the 4th lap and started losing electrical power in the car and then we completely lost power steering. We got it to the pits and the team looked at a couple things and then let it cool down and we regained power! By then we were a little bit more behind and I started making the corners smoother and gaining any speed I could on the track. On lap 6 we lost electrical power again and we finished the race without power steering"  Keep an eye out for this girl you will be hearing her name a lot in the near future.
