MidAmerica Outdoors located in the heart of the USA, in Jay, Oklahoma proudly announces Evolution Powersports (EVP) as a park sponsor and drag strip sponsor for 2021 and 2022 -- And never before has there been a drag race like this!
Competitors from all over the country are invited to race a 300-foot sand drag race in the heart of the USA to vie for the podium and $50,000 in cash!
Mid America Outdoors boasts the BEST SXS Sand drag strip in the USA. The competition sand drag strip is 300 feet long with an elevated grass center and steel railing along the outside. Additionally, it is complete with a Pro Tree, bump in boxes, and electronic digital signage reflecting the winner, eta’s and mph.
The payout is split between 2 classes – Modified and Outlaw. Placings are paid out 3 spots - $15,000 cash for 1st place, $7,500 cash for 2nd place and $2,500 cash for 3rd place in each class. The format will be a draw for seeding followed by heads up bracket style racing with double elimination. Starting line will be groomed between heats. Sand will be left mostly unpacked to allow a western type of loose sand track. Cars must conform to the class rules found here.
The SAND DRAGS are one of the 8 featured events during the 8 days of Visions Off-road, hosted by MidAmerica Outdoors, to showcase the best of the best from each of the 8 different genres of off-road racing. The 8 genres of Visons Off-road are: Sand Drags, Rock Bouncer Hill Climbs, UTV Hill Climbs, UTV Short Course, UTV Endurance, 4400 Ultra IV, Rock Bouncer Knock Out and UTV Knockout. Visions will have some of the best national entertainment from around the country in rock and country bands along with other great family entertainment for all ages.
The dates for this event are July 17th through 25th with SAND DRAGS kicking off the 8-day event on Sunday the 18th of July. The track is available for test and tune July 16th and 17th at set times.
