Intending to run an entirely new Outlaw Class Maverick X3 for the first race of the season built from the-ground-up, Team EVP had to switch gears late in the game due to running out of time. Rather than give up, they dusted off the 6500 mile OG 2017 Can Am X3; their tried-and-true X3 product test bed. Equipping her with a publicly available, off-the-shelf EVP Factory ECU-Tuned Desert Storm 420X Turbo Kit and STM Clutches with Custom EVP Clutch Tuning they entered the Pro Mod Turbo Class.

The competition was fierce and came gunning for Team EVP. They not only entered seven vehicles in the same class, five X3’s, one YXZ and one XP Turbo – stacking their deck – EVP was called out for a grudge match race against one of their showcase Yamaha YXZ’s. The proof is in the pudding and boy was EVP hungry! Not only did they win the callout race but ran the entire race day in the Mod class without a single loss, while also having the second fastest ET of the day.
