Setting Up Flasher Recovery Tool
- Download and install Flasher Recovery Tool.
- Select download link. Click Me
- Run the installer.
- Navigate through unpublished author warnings.
- Right click and select “Keep” and then select the dropdown arrow and select “Keep anyway.”
- Dbl-Click .msi installer file.
- On the blue screen select “more info” then select “run anyway.”
- Accept conditions to install Flash Recovery Tool.
- Download and install .NET runtime.
- Run the Flasher Recovery Tool application from the desktop shortcut.
- Click “ok” when .NET runtime message prompts user to install it.
- The webpage will pop up with auto-download of .NET runtime installer.
- If the popup does not appear and the Flasher Recovery Tool is running, skip ahead to 3.b.
- Run .NET runtime installer.
- Accept condition to install .NET runtime.
- Connecting CodeShooter to Flash Recovery Tool.
- Run the Flasher Recovery Tool application from the desktop shortcut.
- Plugin CodeShooter to PC w/ USB-C cable and wait a moment for CodeShooter to powerup.
- Select the “Connect” button from the Flash Recovery Tool.
- Serial Number, Brand, and Firmware-Version boxes should populate with the values stored on the CodeShooter.
- Select the 2.0 app at top right (should be dark when selected, and 1.0 grayed out).
- Hook up CodeShooter to computer using USB-C Cable and click “Connect”
- Serial number will read “99999998”, and Brand will read "-Mode"
- Click “Reset Testmode”
- Click “Master Reset” The CodeShooter light will blink rapidly.
- Text will read “Recovery serial and brand will now be executed”.
- Wait 1 minute and then close out of app completely and disconnect CodeShooter.
- Open app back up and connect CodeShooter to computer, hit connect.
- Message will display stating “Unregistered CodeShooter Detected”.
- Wait 1 minute and then close out of app completely and disconnect CodeShooter.
- In the pop-up window you will enter your CodeShooter serial number and registered email address.
- Click “Submit”.
- You will now see the correct serial number displayed, and the brand will say “EVOPS”. It will automatically update the firmware.
- Once completed it will state “Recovery Serial and Brand execution is complete”.
- Wait for CodeShooter to pop up “UNFABRICATED” and Brand will read “NOT SET”.
- Click “Disconnect” and then “Connect”. Correct serial number and “EVOPS” will be displayed. CodeShooter light should be solid white at this point.
- Click “Disconnect”.
- Plug CodeShooter into wall charger and verify it displays correct serial number when connected to 2.0 app.
- If it does, process is complete and 2.0 is ready to use!
