XR RACE SERIES BELTS:
- Built to decrease the chances of snapping or delamination in race applications when the tendency is to land on the throttle
- Manufacturing, quality control certifications =-ISO-14001, ISO-9001, and IATF-16949.
- Newly released design that has a larger Kevlar cord with a custom braid design to act as a shock absorber.
- New vulcanization process to marry the layers of the belt together around the cord preventing premature separation of the layers.
- Custom blend of two premium High Modulus Compounds holding the top layers together with the cord and bottom layers like super glue!
- Highest shock load rating to date being able to withstand the power of the 600hp machines.
- Increased top cog pressure load design that increases sidewall rigidity, prevents top cog bowing, but still allows for increased rotational flexibility.
- Bottom cog uses high-modulus rubber compound (BZX1) for better heat resistance and heat dissipation.
- Impregnated with short Aramid Fibers for better belt-to-sheave adhesion and reduced overall belt temperature.
- Latest bottom cog design for greater rotational efficiency at full shift.
- Precision ground sidewall angle (SCUFFING) for smooth engagement, increased power transfer and lower operating belt temperature.
- Kevlar cord, versus polyester, wraps over bottom cogs for increased bottom cog strength.
- Increased cord pop-out resistance.

Limited Belt Warranty Coverage
Evolution Powersports belts are covered against defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
- Warranty period: 1 year from date of purchase
- Valid only for belts purchased from EVP or an authorized dealer
- Replacement belts assume the remaining warranty period from the original purchase
- Claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovering the defect
- The belt may need to be returned for inspection at the customer’s expense
Important: This is a part-only warranty. Labor for removal or installation is not covered.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover any damage or failure not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. See table below for examples.
- Improper use or operating conditions
- Clutching issues or mechanical malfunctions
- Heat damage or belt wear
- Improper installation or break-in
Drive Belt Failures
Hour Glassing
Description: A narrow or worn section in the center of the belt.
Cause: When the drive clutch is spinning and the belt remains stationary.
Status: Not Warrantied
Cord Pop Out
Description: When the center cord separates from the belt.
Cause: Improper bonding.
Status: Warrantied
Flex Crack
Cause: The belt was bent/flexed improperly.
Status: Not Warrantied
Glazing
Description: The sides of the belt look shiny and overheated.
Cause: Belt slippage, overheating from improper clutching and/or abuse.
Status: Not Warrantied
Tearing
Description: The drive belt appears to have hit something and is starting to tear or has torn.
Cause: Worn or damaged clutches causing the clutches not to shift properly. Excessive use of brakes or jumping. The belt will bow and can catch the inner clutch housing.
Status: Not Warrantied
Delamination
Description: Separation of the belt layers.
Cause: Improper bonding of the belt layers.
Status: Warrantied
Broken Belt
Cause: Shock loading the belt will cause breakage. Driving at high speeds (overdrive) for long periods of time. Excessive engagement RPM. Improper gear ratio, clutch center-to-center distance. Jammed or locked drivetrain.
Status: Not Warrantied
Disintegration
Description: The drive belt has separated into pieces.
Cause: Can be caused by different belt conditions such as hour glassing, glazing, flex cracks, or misalignment. Plugged or restricted air intake to clutch housing.
Excessive heat build-up is the main cause of disintegration.
Status: Not Warrantied
