Model year, factory power level and current hardware determine the correct Maverick X3 performance parts.
Do I need a tune to run an exhaust?
No, but to get the most performance gains out of your vehicle while maximizing on your investment, we recommend pairing your exhaust with an EVP tune specific to your vehicle make and model.
Do all Can-Am Maverick X3 models use the same performance parts?
No. Maverick X3 factory power levels, turbo design, ECU and clutch configuration changed across model years. Use the complete model year and Turbo, Turbo R or Turbo RR designation to verify each product.
What is the difference between CodeShooter and Bench Flash Tuning?
Both use the correct unlock and vehicle-specific tuning process. CodeShooter lets the customer load available tune files after the ECU is unlocked, read and reset trouble codes, and monitor live critical engine data, all from your smartphone; the bench-flash option requires sending the ECU to EVP for flashing. Follow the delivery and core options on the vehicle tuning product pages.
What is the difference between a slip-on, race bypass pipe and full exhaust system?
A slip-on or replacement muffler retains more of the factory exhaust. A race bypass pipe replaces a restrictive sound-suppression section or provides a separate path. A full or turbo-back system replaces more of the exhaust path. Check the product description for the selected product.
Does a Can-Am Maverick X3 clutch kit require an ECU tune?
No. A TAPP clutch can be calibrated for a stock or tuned Maverick X3. The clutch calibration should match the vehicle's actual power level, desired engagement RPM, tires and intended use. EVP packages configured for a specific Power Flash should use the listed clutch setup, but a TAPP clutch itself does not require an EVP tune. Compare TAPP primary clutches for Can-Am X3 and Defender for the available configurations.
