Extend your engine's power output potential with the all-new EVP High Flow Intake (HFI) Kit for the Can-Am Maverick R! The OEM Donaldson-style intake works well but is restrictive. The short intake tube from the airbox to the turbocharger does not have time to properly smooth out the flow of air entering the turbocharger. This leads to a reduction in efficiency and power loss. As the engine’s airflow demands increase with tuning and/or higher than stock rev limits, the more important a free-flowing intake becomes. The EVP HFI solves these issues providing up to 23 WHP* over the factory airbox at 9000 RPMs on our X85 DCT+ tune!

The EVP HFI works so well due to the filter being located in the high-pressure zone of the OEM intercooler ducting and works with both the firewall-vented intercooler ducting and the OEM roof scoop. It has been tested with and fits the stock turbocharger and the soon-to-be-released P47 turbo upgrade for the Maverick R. The filter is USA manufactured specifically for Evolution Powersports from one of the best names in off-road air filtration. The filter has 2x the filtration media of the OEM filter. The integrated ram air venturi system provides smooth airflow to the turbocharger, which increases the turbocharger efficiency. Lastly, the silicone connector hose is oversized and wire-reinforced to maintain shape under grueling conditions.

*EVP Note: These gains were achieved on a race version of our X85 tune with raised rev limits and higher shift points. The vehicle also had a full EVP exhaust system.

"Another amazing piece from evolution Powersports! It’s a little difficult to install where the old air box hose comes out at the very top but not too bad. You can definitely feel a difference in the mid range and upper end with this intake. The turbo sounds are amazing. You can hear the turbo spool in the good ole Music to your ears Turbo flutter! Eric, my sales person was great as always, and has always answered every question that I have I actually ever asked him even going out of his way to help me in anyway that he could shout out to Eric and all of the staff at Evo for another great product!"

Can I install this on my stock maverick r without a tune, and will there be any HP gain? or does this require tuning.
The short answer is yes. You can install this without any tuning. As far as the HP gains go, there will be some, as these are far less turbulent than the factory intake.
How do I clean the filter? Or do I have to replace it when it gets dirty?
SuperNano-Wed Air Filters should be cleaned every year or every 2000 miles, whichever comes first – more if operated in a race or dusty conditions. Carefully remove the filter from the housing. Clean the housing with a shop towel, being careful not to knock foreign debris into the air inlet. Using low pressure compressed air (50-70 PSI) direct the air from the inside of the filter towards the outside. This will blow debris from the outside surface off and restore your air filter to optimum condition. NOTE: Never blow air from the outside of the filter, inward. Discoloration and staining will occur over time. This will NOT impact filter restriction or efficiency.
What kind of gains without e85? With or without your exhaust?
We have only tested it with the exhaust. You will see up to 23 WHP over the factory airbox at 9000 RPMs on our X85 DCT+ tune.
