Pre filter groove for the win!

"Evo does not get enough credit for the simple, yet highly effective groove at the base of this BOV. This little groove allows you to zip tie the pre-filter and keep it tight, and thus keep the BOV clean for longer periods of time. My turbonetics BOV was constantly sticking as the pre filter wasn't tight and allowed sand into the BOV. Sound is subjective, but the performance of this design is utterly fantastic."

Do you need a tune for this BOV?
No tune required for the BOV, however, it does require EVP Silicone Charge Tubes (or aftermarket tubes with a 25mm BOV port). Will not work with stock charge tubes.
Rather than venting through the supplied filter, can the BOV outlet flow be routed through a hose and back into the intake piping (pre-turbo)? Or, would this approach create too much back-pressure on the BOV?
You would be looking for a Boost Recirculating Valve (BRV) to fit that need. We do not offer one of those currently for the Maverick R.
My maverick r Bov came with blue spring only. I can hear the valve is open when I am driving at part throttle. Is this normal?
Yes, that is the vacuum hissing that you are hearing. That is perfectly normal.
