The EVP Shift-Tek Billet Clutch Cover for Kawasaki Teryx H2 is designed to add strength and durability to the OEM Kawaski clutch. Made from 6061 aluminum and precision CNC machined, the EVP cover is not only designed to be stronger than the OEM cover, but it also encapsulates the clutch tower ends, which delivers vastly improved clutch tower stability under load. This helps reduce flexing, fatiguing, and spreading of the towers to significantly lower the chances of cracking and/or complete failure.
One of the first issues EVP engineers identified as a potential weak point on our Kawasaki Teryx H2 was the factory primary’s cast aluminum clutch tower cover. A supercharged, 250-HP vehicle creates massive amounts of force on a CVT transmission, and the clutch cover’s main job is to keep the integrity of the towers intact. If the cover doesn’t do its job, and do it well, the towers will warp and lead to catastrophic failure.
Unlike the OEM cover, the EVP Shift-Tek Billet Clutch Cover for Teryx H2 features a design that captures and cradles the top of the moveable sheave towers. In contrast, the OEM cover simply bolts to the top of the towers and offers no additional support, causing the towers to flex/warp outward over time due to the very high RPMs and massive clutch weights.
The EVP Shift-Tek Billet Clutch Cover for Teryx H2 is not only more than twice as thick as the cast aluminum OEM cover, but it’s also machined from 6061 billet. The additional material, cradle design, and overall quality in manufacturing delivers vastly improved clutch tower stability under load compared to OEM.
Additional design features include top-side cooling fins to increase CFM airflow and reduce overall clutch operating temps, plus upgraded stainless hardware that’s more durable and 10mm longer than the OEM grade 6 hardware, offering even more internal support for the towers.
FEATURES:
-
“Cradle” design captures the top of each clutch tower to eliminate outer flexing
- Full billet construction; machined from 6061 aluminum
- Self-lubricating carbon steel-backed bushings
- Upgraded stainless steel hardware, plus 10mm longer to provide internal tower stability
- Cooling fins incorporated on cover’s top side increase CFM airflow and dissipate heat
-
EVP NOTE: Cover must fit snugly over the towers. If it does not fit on the towers, the clutch is not serviceable and the cover can be returned as long as it was not fully installed.
