Evolution Powersports is proud to introduce our performance upgrade systems for the 2020 Polaris PRO XP. Although the Polaris PRO XP comes stock with 181 Engine HP (~148-150 whp), with the additional of EVP's exclusive performance proven upgrades, we have this beast pushing out up to 264 HP!

With our Maptuner Power Package, you no longer have to send in your ECU to get flashed! Maptuner allows you to flash your ECU through the vehicles diagnostic port. A large color, app driven, touchscreen makes tuning a snap. Also featuring datalogging, monitoring, and code read/reset function, it allows you to accurately view or record your engines vitals. With an available Plug-n-Play AFR module, you can monitor and log air fuel ratios in real time! You can also return your vehicle back to stock at any time.

Although the Polaris PRO XP comes stock with 181 Engine HP (~148-150 whp), with some simple and proven performance upgrades, we have this beast pushing about 218 HP with the stock turbocharger on pump 93 octane fuel.
Massive wheel horsepower gains
Rev limiters raised by 500 RPMS both high and low gears - custom rev limits upon request

Our in-house race team, EVP Racing, not only competes with our own shop-built cars (ever heard of the Desert Storm & Hustler?) which consistently bring home wins, but the team also works as Race Support to many top racers in the industry such Marc Burnett, Dustin Jones, Kyle Chaney, Tim Farr, Lonestar, Matt Burroughs, Elliot Burns, Casey Scherer and others. 6 out of the top 10 drivers in the Lucas Oil Midwest series used EVP tunes & products to help get them to the podium. EVP programming and products are also used by top drivers in GNCC, BITD and SCORE race series with countless podiums. We Raise Winners!
Dyno Testing / Tuning the PRO XP:
We baseline dyno tested the 181 crank HP PRO XP on our Dynojet chassis dyno at 148 - 150 WHP all stock which translates to about a 18% drivetrain loss. We installed our EVP Performance ECU software calibration to improve overall power of the engine on pump 91 octane fuel and gained a tremendous power improvement over stock. The EVP software tune alone unlocked an additional ~13 whp from this 925CC Polaris Prostar engine on 91 octane fuel with stock exhaust. Additionally, the cooling fans are triggered 15 degrees cooler, the rev limits and speed limits are raised and the ignition and fuel tables are calibrated for optimal power. Additional improvements are achieved with our exhaust upgrade and Stage 2 (91 Octane) software at ~167 WHP. Our Stage 3R (93 octane) delivers ~178 WHP.
The Polaris Pro XP is the long-awaited replacement for the venerable XP Turbo. With the new vehicle came great improvements to the drivetrain, engine and turbocharger. The EVP tuners took full advantage of this by spending a ton R&D to create a refined big injector package that would dominate the dunes and trails.
The EVP Big Injector tunes for the Pro XP are the most lethal stock turbo ECU programs we have ever released. No big turbo needed - the new water-cooled Pro XP turbocharger is substantially more efficient than the earlier generation XP turbochargers. With an EVP direct replacement wastegate actuator, fuel pump upgrade and big injectors, 260+ (216 WHP) horsepower is at your disposal on E85. This is nearly 70 horsepower over stock! E85 not your thing? 250 (209 WHP) horsepower is on tap on 110 Octane fuel. In addition, 95 93 and 91 octane tunes are included as well. Want to trail ride with the family and don’t want to deal with race gas or E85? No problem - simply siphon the fuel out of the tank and purge the lines (switching to or from E85), put the desired fuel in the tank and program the ecu with the tune that corresponds to the fuel. Switching tunes requires NO hardware changes or adjustments whatsoever.
EVP has spent many years developing software for the Polaris XPT platform with our fleet of company owned XPT’s (16 XPT, 17 XPT, 18 XPT “S, 19 XPT CALI) to enhance the performance of this iconic vehicle. Our continued R&D of this new PRO XP platform allows us to stay on the cutting edge with industry leading performance.
When looking to purchase a tune for your $20,000+ vehicle, the first thing you should ask the tuning company is “do you own a PRO XP?” Most companies do not own the vehicles they sell tunes for. They essentially “borrow” a vehicle for a few days to perform development. At EVP, we believe that in order to perform proper R&D, the vehicle must be owned so the necessary development can be done both on the dyno and in real world conditions. Our company owned XPT’s and new PRO XP have spent countless hours on the dyno to test different software calibrations and hardware components.
Once the tuning was complete, our vehicles were field tested for months in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Utah and Wisconsin. These places represent the vast majority of conditions our customers drive their vehicle and this helps to ensure the tuning is optimized and tested in the environment our customers ride.
In addition to extensive testing on our own vehicles, we ran our 2020 PRO XP tune and exhaust on Bryce Menzies’s race vehicle in this year’s King of the Hammers race. This race presents a variety of harsh conditions as vehicles face everything from meticulous rock climbing to deep silt beds to dry, open desert. Bryce says, “EVO power was just what our Pro XP needed”.
