The helix ramps are easily replaced to fine tune the clutch shift characteristics if needed, whereas the OEM clutch has no provision for changing the helix angle. The OEM secondary has no cooling fins whatsoever and has an enclosed steel helix\/shaft that builds heat and transfers it to the belt.
