Apr 17 2019

The 2019 UTV World Championship desert race was a tremendously successful race for Evolution Powersports and its tuned / sponsored vehicles. EVP tuned Can-Am X3 landed a 1st place WIN in the Unlimited UTV class, and numerous top 10 finishes in the Pro Turbo class.

The UTV world championships is the most participated off-road race of the year where over 400 racers from across the globe compete in different classes. UTV racers descend on the riverside city of Laughlin, NV to test themselves against the best of the best on one of the most challenging courses of the year.

Returning Champions Brett Comiskey and navigator Daniel Mckenzie / Team 2910 CMS Racing in their Evolution Powersports tuned Can-am Maverick X3 showed no mercy on the field in the UTV Unlimited class where they topped the podium in 1st place. They got out in front of the field and never looked back. They finished in a time of 03:29:36 which was 11 minutes ahead of second place.  The CMS unlimited car is on a winning streak where they won this event back in 2018 as well as coming off a win at the Mint 400 last month.  Brett and Daniel are tremendous competitors who race at the highest level in both Pro Turbo and Unlimited classes.

2910 CMS Racing  X3 is equipped with many EVP engine modifications including our “Blizzard” Intercooler,  Bad ASS CVT BeltECU tuning with big injectorsCharge tubes and BOV. These are race winning products designed to dramatically improve the performance of the can-am Maverick X3 turbo.

In the Pro turbo class things did not go as planned for S3 PowerSports T978 in their Evolution Powersports tuned Can-am Maverick X3. S3 got the jump on the start where their X3 put bus lengths on the entire field and keeping the lead most of the first lap. During lap 2 the car developed handling and axle issues which plagued the car for the rest of the race.  S3 currently sits 6th in overall points standings.

EVP racer Billy Long T907 from Wasilla AK, in his Evolution Powersports tuned Can Am maverick X3 demonstrated his and his team’s skills to run among the best UTV racers in the world.  His 6th place finish in the Pro UTV race secures his 10th place in the series points

EVP racer Cole Freiday T813 from Kingman, AZ secured a 9th place finish. Cole is a new comer to the BITD series and has already proven himself as an accomplished racer. His top 10 finish earned him valuable points and he currently sits 19 out of 62 racers in his class.

It was great to get out and be there to help all of our EVP tuned vehicles and sponsored racers.  See you at the next race!
